Advanced Course in International Human Rights Law (English-speaking)
In a world marked by instability and the emergence of new global challenges, the protection of fundamental rights is not just an ideal, it is a constantly evolving legal necessity. Today, traditional mechanisms of international human rights law (IHRL) must contend with increasingly complex realities: from the impact of corporate activities to the management of migration crises, to crucial issues of public health and freedom of expression.
Now more than ever, it is essential to analyse the foundations and scope of these rights in light of contemporary challenges. The effectiveness of international protection depends on the clarity of its standards, but above all on their concrete implementation in the face of new threats to human dignity.
To address these pressing issues, the René Cassin Foundation is organising an advanced course on international human rights law. This in-depth programme aims to provide a thorough examination of key topics: the fight against human trafficking, respect for the principle of non-refoulement in migration crises, the limits of freedom of expression, the growing responsibilities of companies in terms of due diligence, and the protection of the right to health in the face of current violations.
