Continuing vocational training – New reforms in asylum and migration law

The Fondation René Cassin – Institut international des droits de l’homme is offering a training course to present the latest European reforms in asylum and migration law, which will come into force in 2026 and have direct effect in French law, as well as practical aspects of asylum litigation and support for asylum seekers throughout the procedure. Delivered by Professors Marie and Fleury Graff, both academics and practitioners in the field, the course will be structured around the questions and expectations of participants, in an interactive format.

WHEN AND HOW?

The proposed training will take place in HYBRID format on November 24, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

It can be followed by :

  • On the premises of the René Cassin Foundation, 2 allée René Cassin 67000 Strasbourg. A coffee break will be offered on site from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
  • By videoconference, on the Teams platform.

The various presentations will also be available for replay (with the courses made available within a maximum of 48 hours).

An online assessment of prior learning, in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire, will be offered on November 26, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:30 am. It is compulsory for people registered via their skills operator (OPCO).

A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.

FOR WHOM?

This training course is aimed particularly at lawyers and people working with asylum seekers, but is also open to students and anyone else interested in the subject.

WHAT RATE?

The registration fee for this course is €200, whether taken by videoconference or in person. The fee for students and young lawyers (less than two years at the bar) is €140.
