Seminar: “Strategic litigation and climate justice: comparative aspects of the African, European and Inter-American systems”.
The rise in climate-related litigation around the world bears witness to a major development in the law: that of a justice system that is becoming a central lever in the ecological transition. Behind each case lies the fundamental question of the responsibility of States, companies and citizens in the face of climate change.
The “Strategic Litigation and Climate Justice” seminar aims to explore these dynamics from a comparative perspective, comparing legal and institutional approaches in the African, European and Inter-American systems. These three spaces, with their distinct constitutional, regional and cultural traditions, offer complementary perspectives on how to integrate climate protection at the heart of fundamental rights.
